Hello World!!
It seems to have been a couple of days since I have last wrote, so lets get started! Lets see, I last posted on Sunday, so I shall just start with Monday. On Monday we made an early morning of it so that we could go register for classes. Catherine and I headed off to the History Department to meet with someone who could help us get registered and figure out what we would have to do to make this semester as successful as possible. And for you that know me, yes I did say History Department.. No I am not a history major, however I am talking all history classes while I am here... Scary! Anywho, I was already preregistered for Michelangelo, Raphael, Leonardo, Architecture of Roman Britain, and Elizabeth 1! Thankfully the first 2 were ones I really wanted to take! I did however really want to take American Art 1900-1940, so I decided to drop Elizabeth 1 and take the American Art :) But, unfortunately the person I went to before would not be able to help me with the last selection, I had to go upstairs to the American Studies Department. Now if you do not remember from one of my previous posts I told you that we had to go and register in person, fine, no problem, whatever....But I did have to stand in line for 1.5 hours before I could go in and talk to someone about that very last class :( I did meet a lot of British Students while waiting, which is ALWAYS a plus! Later that day we went to a house party, it was Mr. O's birthday, so we figured we should go and celebrate it with him. When we got over there there was under 10 people there so it was a good size. THEN other people started showing up; people we knew, and people we didn't. After a few hours the size grew to an unreasonable amount, there had to be at least 50 people in this tiny house and right outside the door. It was crazy! Now remember that this is a Monday and we have been going out a lot lately since we don't have class yet. I knew that Linda was tired and wanted to go to bed, and so we decided that we would leave and hopefully people would start to follow... Didn't work apparently.
Now Tuesday was not much different from Monday. Yesterday was a nice relaxing day that everyone needed to recover from the nonstop go go go of the previous week. Linda and Catherine had to go into town to fix their cell phones so I decided to go with and see if they could figure out why I can only text certain people and not others. No Luck.... :( We were only in town for about an hour before we headed back home to relax and take a nap for that night. After dinner I went next door to meet them before we headed to the bus stop to do a bar crawl. We headed out at 8, that way we would be there when it started at 8:30. Now we had to wear these wonderful light blue t-shirts to get into the bars where you would get free drinks... or so we thought. No apparently you would have to buy a drink and you would get a free shot... NO THANKS! The shot looked nasty and the cider that we ordered was not the best. Lets just say we left and didn't go to the other bars after the first one. Steffi, Svenja and I decided that we did not want to pay for the bus ride back (1.35) and that we would just walk the 3ish miles home. Thankfully it was a beautiful night out and was just fine in our t-shirts and jeans! After about an hour walk home we went to my place and made a mini pizza which we split between the 3 of us and watched a couple episodes of Scrubs!!! So Funny, Love that show!

So far today...
Although it is only noon here we have had quite a few things happen. When I went downstairs this morning to get breakfast I noticed that we have ALOT of mail, mostly junk of course. However we did receive a letter from the TV Licensing company, as had many other people on our street. But in England when you buy a TV you have to buy a TV license that costs 145.50 pounds. Now when we watch TV on our computers it apparently alerted the licensing place and they did not like that. So one of the first things that scared us was that if we didn't buy a license or ignored this letter they would start an investigation and all that fun stuff. However we did somehow over read the pat that you don't need a license if you don't watch LiVE TV, which we don't.. So we're covered :) Whew... Then when I went downstairs to wash my dishes the Handyman was there to fix our shower. It had been leaking and we didn't want it to progress into water damage. Anyway he just left and told me that we were not to use our shower for a while and he would be back later to check on it. He put a new seal and some caulk in it, so hopefully that will work! Otherwise he said that he might have to replace the whole unit... which means no shower for us :( Hopefully this will fix it and everything will be A-OK!
So until next time :)
