Since I haven't posted any pictures of Hull yet I shall do so in this post! Yesterday I took a tour around Hull and learned some very interesting things, I shall share some of that with you as well! I also have pictures of where I am living, since I know a lot of you are DYING to see it. So lets get this started!
Welcome to Cranbrook Ave.
This is my home for 3 months!
When entering the house you will see this. To the left is Flourien & Kim's bedroom and there is also a bathroom.
Walking forward you come into the living room/dining room.
Then of course the Kitchen.
Going straight up the stairs you will run into Adams room, and turning the corner there is our bathroom!
So as you turned the corner you will come down another small hallway. My room is on the right and Catherine's is straight ahead.
Now coming into my room! Don't mind the mess I am still getting situated.
Here is just another view of the room.
Now that you have seen where I live I will continue on showing you a few parts of Hull, or the proper name of Kingston upon Hull.
So I will post the pictures as I took them on the tour. This is the center of the old part of Hull.
Look at those streets!!! There everywhere!
This is a pub that we got to go into and look around and see what a real English Pub looked like :)
When we first walked in we noticed that they had bottles in the walls
Now we went into the back room where people ate at. It reminded me of a church with all the stained glass windows.
Just another view inside the pub
This is the 'Ye Olde White Harte' which is a pub that dates back to the 1550's. This building contains the famous 'Plotting Parlour' where Sir John Hotham and other plotted against Charles I.
This is just a sculpture that had a little bit of the history on it.
This church is one of the oldest churches in England. It took over 150 years to build.
The courthouse is on the right.
When the tour of the city was finished we went to eat Fish & Chips and then went shopping! When all the shopping was complete for the day we headed home to rest and get ready for that night. After getting all dressed up we made our way to a friends flat where we were going to pre-party before going to the Asylum. Now once it hit about eleven o'clock some people went to the party while others stayed behind and hung out at the house mingling with people. I was one of the ones that stayed behind, and a good choice that was! We received word that there was a 90 minute queue (line). We decided that we did not want to pay 5 pounds (about $7.75) for a couple of hours. Finally we left the party at about 2:00 to go to bed.
This is Me, Svenja, & Steffi at the party
Today we decided that we would go out for a traditional English breakfast.
Me, Petra, Catherine, Svenja, Steffi and Audrey was taking the picture.
A traditional English Breakfast includes : Beans, Bacon, Sausage, Hashbrowns, Eggs, Toast.
When our breakfast was all over we went to the Commercial Bazaar. There we received many different flyers, free stuff, and discounts to different bars and restaurants around town. Now that the Bazaar is all over I have the rest of my day free to relax and Facebook or Skype people. Now if you have Skype don't be afraid to add me, I would love to talk to you all!!! Until Next Time!
